This privacy policy sets out how Sarah Hopper Photography uses and protects any information that you provide when engaging our services and/or interacting with this website.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information from which you can be identified when using this website and our services, please be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations (PECR) 2003 and the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 2018.

It is our policy to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information, e.g. name, address and any contact details that you provide to us in order for us to fulfil our photographic services to you. We do not sell or share this information with any third party.
Currently the website does not obtain any information via subscription or newsletter sign up. However, the website utilises cookies to identify users and interaction. You will therefore be respectfully asked to Accept or Decline on visiting the site. Thank you.

Protection of your images.
Images are also data and as well as your photographer, I am a picture editor of twenty years experience in image copyright protection and clearance. The images from your shoot are processed, edited and stored on a password protected computer, (solely used by myself), before being uploaded and made accessible to you via an online and again secure, password protected gallery. Apart from myself, only you will know the password and have access to your digital files, along with anyone that you choose to share your password with.

All photographs on this website are the copyright of Sarah Hopper Photography and protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. For our valued clients who have purchased packages including digital images, Sarah Hopper Photography grants limited reproduction rights for personal use only.
On receipt of their purchased digital files, clients are entitled, (under license) to use them for personal and non-commercial purposes only. This excludes the sale of the digital files or any derivatives thereof for any commercial gain, advertising, publicity or any other commercial use without the written permission Sarah Hopper Photography. If any doubt exists as to the terms of this licensed usage, then please contact us directly.

As noted within our client contract, Sarah Hopper Photography maintains the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the client's session for editorial, trade, advertising or any other purpose and in any manner and/or medium considered standard by the photography industry. Apologies for the legal jargon, as a photographer, it is a crucial and important way of sharing our creative offering to potential new clients. Please advise Sarah Hopper Photography if you would prefer not to have your images shared. Even further to the contract I do prefer to always double check this with you first before publishing or using any images in this way.
